For over 35 years, we have passionately dedicated ourselves to the world of authentic flavors and traditional Italian cuisine. Our journey began in town squares across Italy, taking part in food fairs and events celebrating regional specialties, where we learned the true value of tradition and the importance of preserving historic recipes.
Among the recipes we have brought back to life, “Fugasì” holds a special place. In 2000, we rediscovered and revived its original savory recipe, while also offering the more recent and well-known sweet version, always staying true to its traditional roots.
Over the years, we chose to settle in Castellaro Lagusello, one of the most beautiful medieval villages near Lake Garda, where we opened our venue, “Dorsè Bar”. To this day, we serve Fugasì paired with traditional cured meats from the Mantua area, offering visitors an authentic taste of local heritage.
Later, still in Castellaro Lagusello, we opened our small artisan workshop and retail store, Dispensa Dorsè.
Here, we produce our Fugasì using a variety of flours, including soft wheat, durum wheat, and whole wheat, following recipes deeply rooted in local tradition.
Alongside Fugasì, we also offer other regional specialties such as Sbrisolona and Bussolà, all prepared with simple, genuine ingredients.
Locanda Castellaro Lagusello
In 2025, a new chapter began with L’Antico Borgo, a historic restaurant with guest accommodation located in the heart of the village, just a short walk from the castle and the famous heart-shaped lake.
Today, we welcome our guests to our inn in Castellaro Lagusello, where they can experience not only the charm of one of Italy’s most beautiful villages, but also the authentic flavors of traditional Mantuan cuisine. Through local ingredients and time-honored recipes, we offer an experience that brings together taste, history, and a deep connection to the land.
